The recording process is in lamens terms, capturing the sound of your instruments via microphones so that it can be mixed, edited or have post production performed on it.
The main thing to bear in mind , and something that we can't stress enough is to make sure, when you come into the studio to record your session that:
You're well rehearsed
Your instruments are in good order (tuned, decent strings, safe!)
The songs are finished (you'd be surprised....)
You're sober
You aren't too tired (this can make a massive difference to your performance)
be ready to enjoy your time in the studio!!!!!!
Approaching the recording process with a positive attitude works wonders and has the added effect of lifting the mood and tempo of the whole session.
