Beth Elsby was born in Melbourne, Australia and has 20 years of cello playing experiene. After completing her Bachelor of Music degree down under, she moved to Manchester to continue her studies at the world renowned RNCM and was awarded a Masters in Music Performance.

Beth has performed and recorded with orchestras such as the Manchester Concert, The BBC Philharmonic and The Liverpool Philharmonic. Alongside classical material, Beth particularly enjoys session work and has performed with Leona Lewis for comic relief and for Queen Elizabeth II with Paul Potts at the Royal Variety Performance.

Beth is an accomplished, friendly and flexible musician who can provide a solo cello or string quartet/ensemble service.

Beth keeps a busy musical career performing and teaching. She is delighted to be a part of Project 9.
